Taste & Experience
The Story Line
The name Mama Afrika is inspired by the great mountains that surrounds the Boland Region, specifically in Worcester in the Western Cape. As we grew up in the township of Zwelethemba, there lays a mountain with an artificial resembling structure of an elephant and a human being looking up.

Our wines are made with honour, replicating the same formula for each vintage to allow the grapes to show case their true potential, uniqueness and also to get the best from the terroir.
We look at the colour and density through the glass, we smell the complexity produced by the berries, we taste the genuine art of wine with all these factors playing a crucial role to savour the taste.

The Malbec is an amazing wine, it showcases its true origin, great structure and complexity, and I’m definitely sure it will do great with time.
I remember how I made the owners of SoTa_Sky Lounge call you after tasting mama Afrika Malbec. They had just one bottle and were out of stock. It tastes absolutely divine and it’s then when I knew that my relationship with the brand was gonna be a long term one.
My ultimate fav is Mama Afrika red wine, but when you introduced the white variety (chardonnay) it changed my view on white wine altogether. I have never tasted any white wine that is so smooth and balanced.
Mama Afrika, always a vibe, I take it everywhere with me. My favourite buddy.
